Overview

Responsible for providing pharmacy services for patients of Columbia Basin Health Association and consultation services to medical staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for performing all functions related to the dispensing of prescriptions
  2. Responsible for supervision of pharmacy personnel
  3. Responsible for managing the pharmacy medication program
  4. Responsible for  maintaining patient records
  5. Other duties as assigned
  6. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of Behavior.
  7. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.

Qualifications

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  1. Possesses advanced level of skill in communication (written and verbal), business practices, mathematics and computers typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program.
  2. Possesses thorough knowledge of Washington State and Federal laws regarding pharmacy practice

 

License and Certification:

  1. Possesses an active Washington State Pharmacist License with no restrictions.

 

Technical Skills:

  1. Ability to effectively utilize and navigate Electronic Medical Record system.
  2. Ability to process prescriptions using the pharmacy management system.
  3. Ability to perform necessary task on the automated dispensing machine.
  4. Ability to process CII orders using the DEA Controlled Substance Ordering System.
  5. Ability to navigate wholesaler website and order medications when necessary.
  6. Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
  7. Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
  8. Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  9. Ability to perform basic e-mail functions using Outlook.
