Professional and Technical Knowledge:
- Possesses the equivalent level of experience and skill in communication (written and verbal), business practices, mathematics and computers typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor Degree program or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Possesses thorough knowledge of the pharmacy’s regulatory environment to include state, federal, 340B and certifying organizations.
- Possesses a detailed working knowledge of all pharmacy workflows acquired through direct performance or observation.
- Possesses a level of skill in troubleshooting techniques sufficient to assist software vendors to diagnose system issues via phone communication.
- Possesses certification as a healthcare access associate (CHAA) or the ability to obtain certification within 2 years.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to effectively utilize and navigate Electronic Medical Record system.
- Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements.
- Ability to use advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, such as to create and manage databases, including creating standardized reports, or link multiple worksheets and workbooks.
- Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft Power Point.
- Demonstrates proficiency in pharmacy management systems.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to provide effective and timely communication to pharmacy staff.
- Ability to prepare and execute presentations to large groups.
- Ability to prepare effective written (including electronic) correspondence.
- Ability to resolve conflict between employees or between employees and patients.
- Ability to effectively convey their opinions and information they collect and synthesize/analyze.
