Overview

is position is responsible for performing non-clinical pharmacy operations to support the provision of medications to CBHA patients.

 

Pharmacy Services Supervisor Salary: $57761.60-$72207.20  DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

 

Description of Primary Responsibilities:

 

  1. Responsible for managing and supervising pharmacy assistant staff.
  2. Responsible for the selection and hiring of direct reports according to Human Resources policies.
  3. Develops and manages work schedules to support operations and optimize customer service while minimizing overtime.
  4. Assures development and contribution of staff through training and performance management ensuring a high level of technical competency.
  5. Promotes a work environment with high levels of morale to mitigate turnover.
  6. Upholds clinic and department policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure staff maintain appropriate licensure.
  8. Responsible for fostering and promoting the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  9. Monitors pharmacy work and patient waiting areas for safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  10. Responds to customer concerns and ensures follow up within the next business day through an effective communication and resolution processes.
  11. Responsible for managing the payment collection process at point of sale.
    1. Maintains ability of pharmacy to collect cash, check and credit/debit card payments.
    2. Ensures adherence to cash handling policy and procedure.
    3. Monitors finance offage report and investigates any pharmacy related occurrence.
    4. Reviews pharmacy assistant refund reports showing cash and insurance payments and approves refund requests as needed.
  1. Responsible for will call bin management.
  1. Develops and oversees process to ensure prescriptions are stored, tracked, and dispensed within CBHA’s 10-day standard.
  2. Researches and implements actions to minimize return to stock medications
  3. Oversees mail out and delivery program per company pick-up and delivery schedules.
  1. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
  2. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of Behavior.
  3. Upholds confidentiality at all times pertaining to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.

Qualifications

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

 

  1. Possesses the equivalent level of experience and skill in communication (written and verbal), business practices, mathematics and computers typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor Degree program or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  2. Possesses thorough knowledge of the pharmacy’s regulatory environment to include state, federal, 340B and certifying organizations.
  3. Possesses a detailed working knowledge of all pharmacy workflows acquired through direct performance or observation.
  4. Possesses a level of skill in troubleshooting techniques sufficient to assist software vendors to diagnose system issues via phone communication.
  5. Possesses certification as a healthcare access associate (CHAA) or the ability to obtain certification within 2 years.

Technical Skills:

 

  1. Ability to effectively utilize and navigate Electronic Medical Record system.
  1. Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements.
  2. Ability to use advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, such as to create and manage databases, including creating standardized reports, or link multiple worksheets and workbooks.
  3. Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft Power Point.
  4. Demonstrates proficiency in pharmacy management systems.

 

Communication Skills:

 

  1. Ability to provide effective and timely communication to pharmacy staff.
  2. Ability to prepare and execute presentations to large groups.
  3. Ability to prepare effective written (including electronic) correspondence.
  4. Ability to resolve conflict between employees or between employees and patients.
  5. Ability to effectively convey their opinions and information they collect and synthesize/analyze.
