Overview

Are you a CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT?  $3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED FOR A TWO YEAR COMMITMENT.   MUST BE ALREADY CERTIFIED.

 

Prepares patients for treatment, testing, and examination by a Provider; assists Registered Nurse with patient flow, connects patients with ancillary services, maintains work area and exam rooms, as well as stocks supplies.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for preparing the day’s flow of patients, including pre-visit planning for patient needs and reviewing with provider.
  2. Responsible for patient flow during the work day, ensuring that Provider and patient needs are met
  3. Responsible for instrumentation, supplies, ordering, and other quality assignments.
  4. Communicates with patients, as directed by Provider and Licensed Nurse.
  5. Responsible for managing provider computer desktop flow on a daily basis.
  6. Administers and demonstrates knowledge of medications administered up to scope of licensure under WAC 246-826-100 – “Demonstrates knowledge of medications prior to administration, including but not limited to: correct dosage, route, anatomic site, expected reaction, possible adverse reactions, and appropriate interventions.”
  7. Responsible for assisting with patient education.
  8. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
  9. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  1. Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, and mathematical skills typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
  2. Possesses familiarity with the processes and operations performed during the work day, facilitating patient flow, while accurately maintaining appropriate health information in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  3. Ability to demonstrate basic medical terminology/anatomy.

 

License and Certification:

  1. Ability to possess a current Medical Assistant Certified license with the State of Washington
  2. Ability to possess a current BLS for Healthcare Providers card.

Communications Skills:

  1. Possesses the ability to successfully form, foster, and improve relationships with members of a culture different from one's own.
  2. Possesses ability to present oneself professionally.
  3. Possesses ability to meet with a variety of people, both formally and informally, and to communicate well with professionals and patients.
  4. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish to include verbal and written; translating information according to direction of provider.

In house credit includes for one eye exam every plan year. $200 hardware credit for employee and dependents for prescription hardware (glasses, contacts, prescription sunglasses). Employees and dependents also receive one additional hardware credit per year at CBHA’s cost + 20% (used for non-prescription sunglasses, contact lenses, or a second pair of prescription glasses). $35 copay is waived for preventative services

403 (b) Retirement Plan: 

Safe Harbor Match: Employees are eligible to receive a Safe Harbor Match of 100% up to 4% of the employee’s total salary. Employee is full vested in Safe Harbor Match from day 1. Contributions are subject to IRS guidelines.

Non-Elective Contribution- Provided the employee has met enrollment qualifications, employee will also receive 4% employer contribution of employee’s total salary at the end of the Plan Year at the discretion of Board of Directors.

 

Vacation (Personal Leave): 

 

Year 1

40 hours front loaded after six (6) months of employment. Accrue at the rate of .0038per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of .3076 hours for the rest of year one (1). Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual

 

Year 2 

Accrue at the rate of .0442 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 3.53hours. Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual.

 

Year 3

Accrue at the rate of .5576 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 4.46 hours. Vacation buyout paid hours

 

All employees receive 8 vacation hours for a Wellness Day on their Anniversary Date each year.
