Overview

Responsible for providing related interventions for the identification, treatment, or prevention of developmental delays for children referred to or enrolled in CBHA's Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Program (ESIT). 

 

Early Interventionist: $30-$35 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Performs interventions with children identified with developmental delays under the direction and in consultation with a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), or other service provider and in accordance with the needs of the family as outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Provides feedback according to age guidelines to the SLP, OT, Family Resources Coordinator, primary care provider, and parents regarding the developmental needs of children and progress in the delivery of services as well as areas of concern to prevent further developmental delays.
  • Transitions and/or provides referral for other specialized or long term services as needed.
  • Assists family in accessing resources that are necessary to meet child and family’s needs.
  • Maintains records that document interventions provided in accordance with program requirements and guidelines.  
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community agencies relevant to program functions for referral needs.
  • Effectively manage caseload by providing timely interventions, providing quality services, achieving positive outcomes, and maintaining productivity levels.
  • Conducts home visits and travels to remote clinic sites to support related intervention services.
  • Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
  • Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  1. Possesses knowledge and training in the field of early childhood education or special education, frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program in education or early childhood development or direct qualifying experience working in the field of early childhood development.

 

Licenses and Certification:

  1. Possesses a Teaching Certificate and/or Special Education endorsement.

 

Technical Skills:

  1. Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
  2. Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
  3. Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  4. Ability to perform basic e-mail functions using Outlook.
  5. Ability to enter and manage data into a centralized electronic health records.
